Gospel Opportunities Inc. is a non-profit corporation formed in 1975 for the purpose of sharing the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ and to help build up Christians in their faith.
WHWL signed on the air in April 1976, followed by WEUL in 1990 and WHWG in 1999.
Today, Gospel Opportunities owns and operates a number of radio facilities across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and northern Lower Michigan, collectively known as the Gospel Opportunities Radio Network.
Our flagship station is WHWL, a 100 kW station based in Marquette, MI. The network also includes two "Class A" stations (1,000 watt stations), along with ten low-power translators.
Virtually the entire Upper Peninsula is blanketed by the Gospel Opportunities signal.
Our Mackinaw City translator covers the straits area and the northern tip of Lower Michigan, and our Sault Ste. Marie transmitter beams the good news of Jesus Christ north into Canada.
Our format is a combination of Bible-teaching programs and traditional, conservative music. The blend is a unique one, and has inspired many positive comments from loyal listeners.
